Israel, UAE trade to exceed $3 billion by year-end

Israel-UAE relations are on a solid growth trajectory and moving forward with bilateral trade between Israel and the UAE set to top $3 billion by the end of the year thanks to the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) agreement in effect since April 1 , 2023.
This was revealed by Liron Zaslansky, Israel’s Consul General in Dubai, in an exclusive interview with Gulf Today.
She mentioned the strong presence of Israeli companies participating in the recently concluded Arab Tourism Market in Dubai, adding that they are keen to explore key business areas such as cybersecurity, agritech, fintech and construction technology to further strengthen our relationship with the UAE.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Consulate General in Dubai hosted the 75th Israel National Day reception at the luxurious Madinat Jumeirah resort. The landmark event marked the first Israel Day reception to be held in Dubai since the Abraham Accords, a historic agreement to normalize relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
Guests at the event included Sheikh Maktoum bin Puti Al Maktoum, senior local authorities, representatives of foreign missions, business leaders and investors. The gathering provided an opportunity for the Israeli and UAE communities to come together and celebrate the shared values of peace, cooperation and prosperity.
Liron Zaslansky, Consul General of Israel in Dubai, delivered a stirring speech, highlighting the historic significance of the occasion and the promising future of the growing relationship between Israel and Dubai. she says:
“This is a historic moment for Israel and the UAE. The first Israel Day reception in Dubai since the Abraham Accords is a testament to the strong and growing relationship between our two countries. Today, we celebrate peace, shared values of cooperation and prosperity, and look forward to a bright future of enhanced cooperation and mutual respect.”
The event also includes traditional Israeli food and music. One of the highlights of the evening was a performance by renowned Israeli musician Rami Kleinstein. When asked about his experience performing at events, Rami Kleinstein said:
“Excited to be part of this historic event – a first for Dubai, and to perform in front of people who belong to Jewish history. It is an honor to be part of Israel’s 75th Independence Day, which marks a major milestone in Israel’s diplomatic activity, Especially during these challenging times in this country.”
The 75th Israel National Day Reception at Madinat Jumeirah was a landmark event that reflected Israel’s spirit of innovation and creativity. The event was a complete success, and everyone present expressed their satisfaction. The evening was filled with joy, reflecting the festive atmosphere of the occasion.
